Canine hoopers instruction in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire
Have you thought of doing agility with your dog but don’t know where to start?
Have you done agility but can no longer take part due to age or illness?
Then Canine Hoopers is for you!!!
Canine Hoopers UK was formed in 2017 to provide UK handlers and their dogs with a fun, fast, low-impact sport.
Unlike agility, Hoopers has no jumps. Instead, ground-level hoops are used for the dog to run through. It has the same pace and excitement as agility, but the courses are flowing and don’t involve the tight turns of agility, making it safer for dogs. There are no jumps or high impact equipment just hoops, barrels and tunnels – not only making injury less likely, but also making it cheaper and more accessible for pet dog owners to partake and practice at home.
The aim of Canine Hoopers UK is to be an inclusive dog sport making sure that this sport is accessible to all dogs and handlers, in particular large and tiny breeds, dogs which require a little extra space, patience or understanding, ex agility dogs, older dogs, younger dogs, dogs returning from injury to encourage mobility and is also for handlers with limited mobility.
As an Accredited Canine Hoopers UK Instructor you can be safe in the knowledge that your learning journey will be both fun, and safe, and that the instruction you receive will be to the highest standard. I am committed to teaching to the highest standard and only using modern force free training techniques.
Even if you feel that you, or your dog, aren’t the average sports dog pairing, or your dog needs a little extra understanding, please do get in touch I will be more than happy to work with you. I offer 1-2-1 as well as group training and run regular “have a go workshops”
